Applications
the sapphire tube is a versatile and extremely durable material
that can be used in a variety of industrial applications. it is
highly resistant to high pressure, high temperature, and harsh
chemicals. because of its unique properties, it outperforms
materials such as quartz, alumina, and silicon carbide. as a
result, it is an excellent choice for a wide range of analytical
instruments.
Because of its excellent optical properties, the sapphire tube is
ideal for use as a light pipe. its rigid chucks and shields help to
reduce the amount of heat radiated upward from the tube’s
solidified front. it also reduces the tube’s longitudinal
temperature gradient. this ensures that the workers are kept safe.
The high mechanical strength of sapphire tubes is another
advantage. because they can withstand high pressures, they are
ideal for housing sensors. they are also suitable for high-pressure
transport plumbing. in semiconductor processing applications, they
are also excellent substitutes for quartz and alumina. furthermore,

sapphire tube is nine, making it the world’s second hardest
material after diamonds. the surface finish of a sapphire tube can
be polished to optical grade.
Processing
the sapphire tube processing process is extremely complex,
involving the preparation of raw materials. sapfir, a
monokristallin sap, is the primary material used for this purpose.
a variety of other materials, such as tin and titanium, are also
used in the process.
the temperature gradient in the tube wall must agree with the
pulling temperatures for this process to be effective. the tube
structure and transparency are weakened when the temperature
gradient is too high or too low, reducing processing capacity. this
is why keeping the temperature gradient within a narrow range is
critical.

Sapphire's Mohs hardness is 9 (diamond is 10). It is the hardest
material next to diamonds. Until now, it's nearly impossible to
make a diamond tube as costing, difficulty processing. But ZMSH can
produce a sapphire tube with OD/ID polishing to optical grade.
