The chemical formula is Gd3Ga5O12 crystal. It belongs to the cubic crystal system. Nd∶GGG doped with Nd is an excellent laser crystal, which can obtain pulsed laser output at room temperature with a wavelength of 1.06331m.

GSGG stands for Vanadium Garnet. It is a special substrate for magneto-optical thin film. In optical communication equipment, 1.3u and 1.5u optical isolators need to be extensively used, whose core components are YIG or BIG films placed in magnetic fields. GGG single crystal substrate with different tangential directions can achieve the best match with the lattice of this kind of magneto-optical material, so as to ensure the successful epitaxial growth of YIG and BIG films. GGG good physical mechanical properties and chemical stability also ensure the film preparation process of the substrate requirements. GGG is also the best substrate for microwave isolators.
